The Symposium will grapple with the enduring harm of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre and decades of policy-driven deprivation, while honoring the legacy, resilience, and potential of Greenwood. Participants will discuss the Greenwood Trust’s priority areas: housing, education, entrepreneurship, and cultural preservation. The program will bring together award-winning scholars, researchers, activists, cultural curators, athletes, entertainers, policy leaders, capital providers, and historians for candid, solutions-oriented dialogue on systems change and the partnerships required to drive it. We will also celebrate the 1921 Awards, Build in Tulsa’s premier recognition honoring the entrepreneurs whose enterprise reflects the genius and community of Black Wall Street.
